Ghidini Giuseppe Bosco S.p.A. has continued developing its business thanks to a fully qualified workforce and cutting-edge machinery and equipment. We have always placed emphasis on protection of the environment, investing in systems to guarantee the utmost safety and rigorous compliance with the applicable environmental standards.

Design and Engineering

The workshop is equipped with CNC machines linked to the design department where the steel dies and moulds are developed. Based on each customer’s specifications our designers and engineers create the desired shapes, seek suitable materials and build all the equipment needed to make these exclusive items.

The following engineering processes are handled by three CATIA workstations with dedicated software:

  • Modelling and styling (virtual items)
  • Rapid prototyping by stereo-lithography (from the virtual item to the real one made of technopolymer)
  •  Prototyping using CNC machines
  • Laser reading of the existing models (mathematical calculations for moulds and equipment)
  • CNC (CAD-CAM) design and construction of steel moulds

Production

The foundry is equipped with 200-1000 ton pressure diecasting machines for brass, aluminium and zamak, gravity-casting machine for moulded parts weighing up to 8 kg, and hot forming presses that make articles of various dimensions.
After processing, the items are sand-finished or processed in special vibrators to remove the burrs. This is the first stage of the finishing process.
The items then move on to the turnery for machining operations such as drilling, threading, milling and turning, all performed using CNC centres and automatic machinery.
